Urban Extension with Casement style Windows
Deciding to redecorate your home can be a real challenge; self confessed “house freak” Karen had learned this the hard way. Six years ago she had rushed into redecorating her home and found that decoration is a job that needs careful consideration “I immediately regretted some of the decisions I made”.
This time Karen thought long and hard about the decisions she made. In addition to revamping the house she wanted to add an extension at the back to add more light to her house. Karen had a vision of what she wanted the house to look like and with the help of Signature specialist Replacement Division this dream was realised.
Not wanting to rush into anything this time around Karen researched all her options for redecoration. She had seen Signature in a number of homes and loved “the interior finish & wood panelling”.
Karen also found the 10 year guarantee very comforting “a long guarantee period ensures that more care and design attention will be inputted by the manufacturer as they seek to ensure that their warranty costs are kept to a minimum.” Karen discussed her options with the Signature representative; together they decided on Sierra White Casement & Awnings with glazing bars.
Casement windows offer expansive views and open outwards to create an uninterrupted view. The sunroom at the back comprised of 2, 4 wide Casement units and Outswing French Doors which allow maximum sunlight into the beautifully decorated sunroom.
All the windows were painted by Signature’s specialist Painting Division (windows are stripped & sprayed creating a flawless finish). Karen also chose antique brass hardware to compliment the interior of the window.
In total the installation took 2 weeks “the fitters were fantastic and that made the house feel very much like a home”. One of Karen’s favourite features from the whole revamp is the window seat which the fitters installed as part of her project. “I’m so happy I took my time to make the right decisions this time round.”
